Yes I went across a cat scale at the local truck stop. They are serviced every month. I weighed it 4 times.
1. just as I pulled up to the truck stop
2. emptied everything out except jack + toolkit
3. everything out that was not nailed down
4. put 3rd seat back in to see how much it wieghed
I did figure out that I had 4-5 gals of fuel.
So basically I did figure out what it weighs:thumbsup:
I do believe that it is pretty accurate n plus I have the 5.9 in a suburban not a truck....
Sorry folks, my last post seems pretty stupid.
I hadn't noticed that Y'all had "scaled".:mad2:
Cat scales are the best! When trucking, we always had to scale the load before hitting the road, and slide the axle as needed. Cat scales saved our bacon several times. Driving with 1/2 load of fuel to prevent overweight is not a preferrable trip (ran coast to coast), but better than fine$.
Thanks for not slammin' me, even though I deserved it.
