Tried an experiment. I bought a cheap spark plug tester, found a plug that was so bad it wouldn't do anything. Took a torch to it and got the metal body a dull red . Then cleaned it and the video is the result.
Maybe you should let me borrow that tester Marty...... Will these are 2 stroke plugs and are oil fouled. Oil gets between the electrode and the ceramic and shorts them out. It doesn't take a ton of heat to get rid of the oil but it leaves carbon along with what is already in there. According to the Internet carbon burns off at 660*. Dull red is over 1k*. I kept it there for several minutes
