Turbomaster Instructions

It was set for 14 PSI on a GM3. The spring length isn't accurate as I found.

Hi Mike

From Heath's directions:

Preliminary boost adjustment for 94-95 engines

The TM should be set at a maximum of 5-7 psi when used with the factory computer programming.
You can set this boost range by adjusting the spring to a length of 2-1/2". Raising the pressure above this level may trigger an over-boost code and cause de-fueling and loss of Power, until the ignition is turned off & the engine is restarted.

For the engines running with the Max-E-Tork high output the computer programming , maximum boost pressure should be set to 14 psi.

A preliminary setting of 14 psi can be accomplished by adjusting the spring to a length of 1-3/4".

Thanks I would have set it wrong and hated it...
I am hoping to have an ATT with a new Program before towing season this summer..
Then I have 2 GMC-4 Turbo's (one with a TM) and an S intake for sale
Thanks again

I really recommend a boost gauge even if you only use it to set the TM and remove it. It took only 2 turns of the nut to go from 14 to 16 PSI and altitude from 2000 to 8000' is enough to drive the pressure up 2PSI back into the choke and smoke 16 PSI range.

I have the same truck (a suburban) as pgguru.
I have been setting it at 2.5" spring length or slightly more (2.5" + 1 turn) and never have any problem for 2 years.
Without a boost gauge or a reflash. Not saying that is not important but it is fine.
I have the boost gauge, just have never had the priority to install it.

The 95 turbo is slightly improved from the 93 version.
Enough to make the TM works as intended.
