Transmission Question

I am in the process of putting a 5.3 in a 95 Chevy 3500 with a 4l80e transmission was wondering if it will work and if not what will I need to do to make it work

Need a lot more info. Was it originally a gas engine truck? Is the 4l80 from the 95?

Welcome to TTS 2250.
I’m not much familiar with the 5.3, if it utilizes the same shape of a bell housing, then there might be a Q of the torque convertor bolt holes aligning with flex plate.
Not sure if the ECM will be able to talk to the engine.
