i want to put two marker lights on each side of my tool box and a brake/tail lights right above the bed rails what would be the best way to wire them up i should just be able to splice into the wiring harness that goes to the rear end correct? but i got to thinking i want the appropriat side to flash when that sides turn signal is on but i want them to be running lights as well. also how do i make the brake/tail lights get brighter when i step on the brake with out a dubble filiment bulb anyone got any ideas im not to sure how to make this work

One way would be to wire them up as if it were a trailer.

A friend did something similar with his Cummins. He made an extention that plugged into his trailer harness so if he took the box out he just had to unplug it. Down side was he had to unplug it when he had a trailer. Splicing would solve that thou.

You could get a junction box and mount it to the frame-rail. That way, you could run as many "extra" wires as you need to. It really is a clean way to do it: it don't look hacked up.

I Think I posted in your other thread. If you can post or PM me with the style or a picture of the light you are trying to use I will be able to help you more. Or I can give you my phone number and help you if you like...

ya you did and i responded to u there i didnt know there was an electrical section when i started this thread i was told about it so i posted there as well.

I have some lights that i got 4 free but i can get different ones if there are others that would work ill get a pic of what i have

Cowboy, as far a I know you are going to need to "two stage light". What you said you ahve is only wirerd for just parking light... shoot me a PM I may be able to help..

For the brake and turn lights you could mount 2 lights next to each other. Have the brakes/turn lights wired to a LED light, those are nice and bright and have just a plain incandescent marker light for the running lights.
