This is not me!

That story reaks of hype to me, sure the methane exploded, but the underlying cause was oily rags that combusted on their own, stuff like that could happen in any garage. Who knows, without the explosion, the fire could have built quietly and spread further before anyone woke up.

Bottom line, self combusting material is bad in anyone's home.
 
Who's to say that it would not have caused a propane tank from a gas grill to explode. Just another way for the media to jump on something and make a big deal out of it.
 
Tell me about it. I heard in my old neighborhood when a propane tank went off. It shot throught the block wall into the other guys back yard.....
