Tach Connection

Welcome to the site. The signal for the tach comes off the alt. So it shouldn't be any problem. I'm not sure where the wire connects on the alt.

a regular tach will not work on a diesel you must have a diesel tach.
that being said the first 2 pins on the alt where the white and black wires are are for the tach connection.
