Swapping my 1998 Chevy 454 to a Chevy 6.5 from a 1995 Chevy 3500

Hello 5.
Welcome to TTS.
One question I have is this.
Is the Diesel engine a mechanical injection pump or is it an electronical unit.
As in DB2 or DS4 ?
Oh wait, another Q.
Automatic or manual transmission ?

Oh yeah, from the RF angle of the truck in the picture, that looks to be a mighty fine unit. Better watch it though, there’s a thief standing back there waiting for his opportunity to jump in and roar offt. 😹😹😹

Does the IP (injector pump) have throttle cable brackets ?
That would be the mechanical pump.
If there are no throttle cable brackets and only a lot of wires then it will be an electronical IP.
