I have a 1996 3500 6.5 turbo with a 4L80-E in it. I am wanting to take this trans out and replace it with a nv4500 would i have to change the ecm to get this to work??

swaping the 4L80-E for a nv4500 in my 96 6.5TD

You should change the PCM for this swap. You can try to get a stock one out of a truck with a manual tranny, or purchase an aftermarket with the correct specs. There may be some members that can modify the one you have if the truck is sitting a while.

Thanks!!! got any suggestions on who could reflash my computer for me and maby even with a performance tune the truck can sit i got other trucks to drive
