MODS: If this is the wrong forum I am sorry, please move if necessary.

There is a squeeking/moaning/groaning noise that comes from under the hood when I am turning at slow speeds. Mostly seems to happen when turning to the right.

Any ideas?

Intermediate steering shaft. Common problem since 2001. I went through 4 in my 04.5 and I'm already on my second with my 07. And since mine's been replaced, it groans now too.

While turning the wheels or while holding it turned?

I had cv boots squeaking, went away eventually.

Now it sounds like a really high pitch squeek, kind of like brakes do sometimes. It happens when I am going slow and turning. Braking or accelerating do not make a difference.
