My wipers are slow and don't change speeds when you move the switch. The truck has what looks like 3 capacitors that went inline with the wires to the motor itself. It was unplugged. I plugged it back in but made no difference. My father was a radio tech in the air force but like 50 yrs ago he said it's a noise filter for the mil radios. Is my wiper motor toast ?

Maybe you should hot wire the motor and see if it speeds up. That would indicate a switch or not. IIRC, those stalk switches aren't too expensive and I'm told, easy to change.

replace the circut bored, or you can try to fix it yourself.. Ill see if I can dig up the thread

The indications would lead me to believe that the motor is toast.

They are easy to swap out.

The reman stuff from the parts stores can be a grab bag as far as what will work right or not.

Getting a new Delco is likely not in the offing.

I have had remans that worked real well and others that did not.
