While towing over the weekend (5-6k 5er) my truck brake controller stopped controlling the trailer brakes and the ABS light turned on (lights still work). When I turn the truck off and start it again everything works the brake control slider controls the trailer brakes and everything but when I hit the brake peddal to stop the dash lights up again. Any ideas???:noidea:

My suggestion is to take it to your dealer. Odds are that there is a short somewhere in the wiring. there should also be trouble codes stored in the brake control module that will aid in diagnosis. There are a few bulletins about trailer brake controller issues. You might need to take the trailer in with the truck to help them find your problem.
