RPM Fluctuates at WOT, lift off throttle engine dies

A friend had fuel pump go out. Got the new pump on. He can now get it started, but has to keep his foot to the floor or else it will die. Also, the RPM will fluctuate even though the throttle isn't moving. We get fuel at the filter. Cracked each injector and cranked until we saw fuel. Still acting the same.

Any ideas?
 
Had a similar experience with a 6.2 recently turned out my rebuilt oump was bad. If your lift pump went out I could have messed up the IP. The advance was sticking on mine.
