Replacing Park Pin?

Ok so long story short I blew out my park pin with a dumbass attack.. I have never been in a transmission in my life but not my first time tearing into something complex alone. Should I attempt this, ive heard it can be done from the pan.. any input is greatly appriciated. Let me know how complex it is + estimate price on what I will need..
