I'm trying to figure out how to find out what wire does what. I'm looking for the front speaker wires. this is for a 2000 ford windstar. the normal colours don't seem to apply. does anybody have a good way to determine which ones do what.

so far i know the pink is the switched ign. and red is the constant. like i said it's an odd ball.

I've used a 9v battery before to identify which speaker wires are which speaker. I just touch or drag the wire end over the batt terminals and you'll hear the speaker "scratch". Does no harm to it at all.

This only works if you can positively identify the speaker wires from the rest of the harness.

Why?

Well, apply 9v to the databus wire for the vehicle and bad things will happen to items like the PCM, BCM, modules, etc......
