Havent had overdrive in the 4l80e since early October. Wasnt getting any codes at that point.
Now I'm getting a 36 (injection pulse width long) and 68 (trans component slipping).
Is the tranny problem likely to cause the dtc 36, or am I looking at two different problems here? Possibly a failing PMD or IP on top of needing a tranny rebuild?
I've read elsewhere that a bad CTS may not code, but will also prevent overdrive, and the situation could be diagnosed by disconnecting and jumping the pins on the connector together to see if OD returns(presumably after clearing the codes). But wouldnt that set codes in and of itself?
