I finished up my FTB mod. I have an FRC-10 pump I got from Leroy, I have new sending unit with deleted sock, 30 micron pre lp filter and a 12 micron secondary, all new 4An braided line from tank to the IP, drilled out IP lower fitting, with walking j top AN fitting. I am only getting 2psi. at wot., 13 psi at idle. I know I have more flow, but im thinking that this pump should be able to sustain more than 2 psi wot.

My Walbro at WOT with sock delete and prefilter Leroy sold me(not sure of micron) never goes below 7#. My truck will fishbite at anything lower than or 5#. I don't have FTB, but have same tune as you. At idle I'm at 15#. I'm just letting you know what my setup has, I have no idea why its so low other than my truck would stall at 2# because before sock delete, sock was plugged and it would stall arund 3.

I need to correct the mistake in this, it is 6AN line not 4AN.

I doubt its this but curious if you have a lot of returned fuel?
I don't know,i talked on the phone to Leroy yesterday and he said this is normal at wot, but im not really too happy only getting that kind of pressure for the money and work put in to this mod.

I just got back from talking with Leroy again, and he says to try running a heavier wire down to the pump and running it off a relay. He also said he is running about the same pressures on his truck, so maybe I am over reacting.

Is the lower pressure due to the small micron size? I am running Leroy's relay to the walbro as well. I am running whatever micron size a 3239 napa filter is, and getting earlier stated pressures. I got same pressures without walbro and relay with heath pump that looks like oem pump.

Im guessing your talking about the secondary 12 micron filter which IMO isn't small enough, the stock ffm filter is rated at 5 microns. Were kind of thinking since I have a pretty opened up system with 6an line all the way from tank to ip, that with increased flow, the pressure's may be a tad lower. Leroy said on his truck with the same pump that he is running about 3 to 4 psi wot.

Here is a shot of my FP guage running down the freeway at 70 mph turning 2550 rpm.

Not to change subject, but where or what manufacturer did you get the dual oil filter relocation kit, and does it eliminated the leaky FN OEM adapter the truck came with. The link didn't work for me, but no one is gonna doubt this. I agree that increasing the size will lower the pressure, but the volume should be there and maybe no worries. The only thing I can think of a comparison, is a garden hose with a spray nozzle that necks down the outlet and lots of pressure and less volume. Now take that nozzle off and you get lots of volume and less pressure. Thats probably kindergarten logic, but sounds right to me. It also would explain why my truck won't run on 3 psi, no volume.

You can read about it here. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/63...640001-my-dual-oil-filter-relocation-mod.html All the list of parts used should be in there. Unfortunately it does not get rid of the pain in the *** 4x4 oil filter adapter, I tried every close 90 I thought might work, but it was still too close to the front driveshaft yoke for my comfort.

Well it's better than stock 0PSI. You can look up the return fuel pressure regulator that is part of the return nipple on the IP. It has a device that holds some pressure in the pump and it's failure can cause excess return. Also I don't know if the DS4 has a J vent wire in it or not like the DB2 - same deal excess return flow.

Double check for any restrictions like a kinked hose. Also the Walbro has a screen in the bottom bowl that I managed to plug up...
