well if you havent been adding a lubricant to every tank the Fuel Solenoid could have gotten worn or scored or something. Adding oil to one that doesnt usually get it will sometimes keep it running good for many miles.
There is a GM TSB about injection pulse width codes and PMDs. As well fuel starvation from bad LP or bad LP power supply, or snotty sock or etc can cause the same.
I wouldnt suspect an IP right off the bat if it does it commonly when in cruise. Its certainly possible though.
