Okay guy's I have been eying the lube specialist oil cooler but at about $250 shipped it is getting a little pricing for me trying to get the truck ready for a HELL of a Thanksgiving trip. I went into the local Kragen (CSK) and thought I would ask them if they had a replacement oil cooler. They had one for $54. It was a retro fit. It said that the stock fitting had to be removed and the new brass fitting w/ a barb had to be screwed in and then you connect it w/ a rubber hose and a clamp. Just wondering what you all think. Would it get too hot down there?
Also I found the brass 90 degree fittings that Lube specialists uses so I could get a pair of those and find some braided lines somewhere. I don't know how easy that would be however.
Thanks!
