Yes, it's a nice layout, but it makes things hard to read and makes me dizzy. - I won't be looking at it much. Sorry!
 
Really nice layout, if that logo in the background were fainter it would make the white text all that much easier to read. I wouldn't say get rid of it, but definitely turn the brightness down on it.
 
Maybe we need to look at another back ground? I never really liked how the writing scrolls over the back ground on there.
 
The main problem I see is that the background is, for lack of a better term, "Too Strong". It almost looks like it is the foreground with the text scrolling behind it. At least, that's how it appears to me and makes me dizzy to look at it for any length of time.
 
OK...that makes perfect sence....maybe we can make the logo have a little more fade to it. I also think that it is kind of blurry from being so large witch is making it hard to focus on. I myself thought it was just me being a couple drinks into it when I looked at the my space):h
 
Looks good to me. I think there is a setting that lets the background scroll with the text. Buy don't listen to me as I can't make my page work.:mad2:
 
So I reduced the brightness on the NorCalTruck.com background and hopefully it will be better on the eyes.

It is much better now, but I think it is still TOO BUSY! - The nice graphics would be great if they were on their own specific page, but everything in one page tends to confuse the reader. Needs some kind of theme for the reader to focus on.

I think a more basic home page with nice graphics with links down the side so the reader can choose to go to specific areas of interest would be more productive and get the message across quicker.

Thanks for the info..

IMO, MySpace is intended for the younger crowd and the NCT MS was designed with them in mind; graphically loud and a little flashy thus the iPhone avatar.

The new http://www.norcaltruck.com/ website is being updated as I type this and should be online soon
 
I was just talking about this on another forum. I have noticed after the NCT Face Book was up and running, there is a ton of people adding us and most of them are of the older crowd. The myspace I think has been populated by the younger crowd. This is not a bad thing just something I have noticed and had stated to me by customers. I agree that the way myspace works it's not as is to focus on certain things. I feel how Copter has laid out the difference between the myspace (more flashy/busy) vs. the facebook (directed toward the older crowd/simple) has been great because I certainly see the deference in the crowd either site pulls.

Also this is in no way saying that people need to pick one or the other pending age. I don't spend much time on either but for the time I have this is my take on it. We are just trying to make everyone happy and Internet is very diverse so it's hard to get the focus of everyone.

I do like the suggestions and idea's. Without that we could not make changes or decisions that hopefully make as many people happy being apart of our group:thumbsup:
