Those are the old ones too. The New Phase 7 ones that are being Released any Day are going to Blow them outta the Water. By Using only 2 LED's too VS the 6 that they Use now.

The Technology is there. Basically, Heat Sinks are what is Holding it back now. You can't get a Big enough Heat Sink to make the Bulb Useable for Long Periods of Time.

I see. Hopefully sometime soon we see that happen..

They look nice on there.

I just saw an Audi commercial advertising LED headlights so I know they're making progress with them. It seems that in a couple years, HIDs will be going obsolete.

I have amber (yellow) bulbs and yallow lense covers that can easily be peeled off. 4300K would look good in there I think. If it didnt take an act of congress to get that god dammed belly pan off, I'd spring for a set. I just bought and installed a ported throttle body though.

Damn, there's even Crap in the way to Change the Fog Bulbs?

nice, but where do you get prices?

Truck Lite's are about $230-$275/ea if you Shop Around.

JW Speaker's are $400+/ea if you Shop Around.

Before the Phase 7 Truck Lite's came Out, the JW Speaker Lamps were the Best. But now that the Phase 7's are about to be Released, I think they are going to be better than the JW's.

Time will tell once People get them and do some Tests.

How would one of the Squadron lights compare to a pair of the Vision X 10W lights? They would be going on a Polaris Ranger. Do they get hot when on a while? I want to put red or green translucent covers over them so that they don't spook wild hogs when night hunting.

Which Vison X Lights? The Small Solstice ones? If so, those are what I Use as Reverse Lights on my D-Max, and the Squadrons Blow them outta the Water. It's not even a Fair Fight.

I'd say it would take 3 Solstice Lights to Equal 1 Squadron. That's just Up Close Brightness too. There is nothing you could do to a Solstice to make it Throw the Light as Far as a Squadron.

Sounds like the decision is clear cut then. Now to make myself spend that much on lights. :agreed: Would the Solstice lights be brighter than stock lights on the Ranger? I think they are 50 Watt high's.

The Solstice Lamps are only 900 Lumens each. The Squadrons are 3600 Lumens each. So on Paper, they are 4x as Bright.

The Solstice VS your Stock Lights, it's tough to say. Depending on how they are Aimed, I think it would be pretty Close to the same Brightness. But the LED's would be ALOT more Efficient. The Squadrons would Blow them away.

Yea, the A6, A7, and Newest R8 have them.

But...should one of them Burn Out, you're gonna have to Replace the whole Housing. It's not a Replaceable Bulb.

So, when you Build them that way, then yes, you can Fit a Big enough Heat Sink to Allow them to be Used for Long Periods of Time and be Fine.

But with a Replaceable Bulb for out Trucks (for Example) you gotta make the Bulb still be able to Fit through the Hole in the Housing, while still being Small enough to give a Correct Focal Point with a Big Enough Heat Sink to not Interfere with the Beam Pattern.
