Counterfeit Processor
In defense of Newegg, I've used them for a very long time. The one questionable part I got from them was a 939 socket AMD processor that was marked engineering sample in the bios. It ran fine for many years, but it probably was a processor that shouldn'thave been sold to the public.
Anyway, keep an eye out for counterfeit stuff even from respected retailers.
