Just made a deal on a 2005 LB reg cab Duramax with the LLY, 110K on the clock. PO has the new turbo mouthpiece to stop the thermal runaway condition from the turbo.

Needs a fuel pressure regulator and a half shaft for the steering. Sales tax savings from a private owner purchase will more than pay for that done at the dealer no less.

Yes, I know the wheels are ugly. :nonod:

Now I won't have to push the 6.5 so hard that it breaks stuff... :hihi:

Well, it looks like you got yourself a nice work/tow truck. No need for nice rims.

Good luck with it.. Will be a world of difference I'm sure.

Way to go WW! Looks like a nice rig that should get the job done for ya.

And I'll second that on the wheels. I like how they look and they will more than do the job and look good doing it for sure.

It is welcome back to the dark side. I missed my 2008 and with the parts bill I could have bought this truck for what I have in my 6.5. Anyway I have a good backup truck with the 6.5's now. Still getting some minor bugs out of em.

First thing is the turbo mouthpiece change. Then throttle springs, tune, 4" exhaust from a supporting vendor, in bed fuel tank, install the inverter, and CB. Last will be the 2 quart oil cooler, TD-EOC, I have laying around that I used on my 2008. Got to replace the ruined 280 degree rated hoses first because the oil runs hotter out here towing than anyone has a handle on including killerbee who came up with the kit. 6th gear just runs the temps away if you don't manually shift it down on a hill. For that reason alone I am happier with the 5 speed Allison. Anyway the above is a cakewalk compared to what I have done lately even if the turbo clamps fights me for an hour.

Just no Dodge trucks available in AZ and this one was below budget for a change. Came this close to a Dodge and it took the seller calling me before he showed the truck to someone else before I committed to buy it. Longbed diesel trucks are hard to find. (High miles and high prices. Crew cabs with all the toys usually.)
