New style fuel filter

Can anyone give me feedback on old style vs new style fuel filter? I am hesitant to try the all-in-one plastic fuel filter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Myself I prefer the older ones and use the metal screw cap, AC delco still have the good ones...

they are fine,, but keep your old ring around, in case next time you get the old style again.

I've not had an issue, but still don't like the idea of plastic that can get brittle and bust, without warning.

Did not have any issues with the new style. Worked just fine.

More important is the piss-poor micron rating of some of the filters that don't even meet the ancient spec for our pumps. Wix is one fuel filter that doesn't meet spec anymore.

NAPA composite is 5 micron.

Last I checked Napa is a rebranded Wix so it would have the miserable Wix 14 micron rating.

Interesting, however; according to their web it's 5 micron and I have no idea how they could put that in specifications for that filter w/o incurring liability.
