This morning before daylight I stopped and put the steering wheel up
to get out, and the headlights went off, lowered it and they came back on.
This is a Bad Thing :frown5:
(It's only the headlights, everything else is on.
Obviously I have a broken or nearly broken wire, or bad plug in connection,
but what wire would be in the steering column for the headlights?
A little more history: When I was wiring the light for my boost gauge, I
found some burnt wires (I mean BURNT!) at the headlight switch - I cut
out the most badly burned ones, and spliced some good wires in their place.
I assumed that the DRLs may have caused it, since I had no issues with the
wires being burnt, and had pulled the DRL fuse years ago. No wiring diagram,
never found out what the burnt up wire was for. But it was repaired also.
