Well I just joined this site. Can't say I'll be a regular poster as I hate typing.I joined cuz I'm trying to help a friend get info on changing the p.s. pump on his 96 Chevy with a 6.5l deisel.I haven't seen it but he says the bracket is a m.f. to remove.I guess I'll have to drive there( 1 hour) & help him.
Prsonally I'm into old Mopars( they weren"t old when I started liking them!)I've got 2 Ramchargers, an 83 and an 84.The 83 is all but destroyed but has a kick ass motor in it. I've got to get rid of it.The 84 I've been building up for years and just got the brand new(and I mean brand new!) motor in it.It's got a Mopar Performance short block 360, brand new heads, Lifter valley baffle, windage tray,hi vol/press oil pump, hard chrome rocker shafts, crane cams 1.6 roller rockers,4 barrel (rochester Q-jet, my favorite carb).I changed the hot cam that came with it to what CFhrysler calls the "high performance RV cam". It's got the large case 120 amp alternator with the brackets off an 87 Diplomat I had. Exhaust manifolds are stock, new also, going into 2 1/4" pipes to a flowmaster collector into 3" pipe with a 3" high flow cat and a Flowmaster muffler.
I wrote an extensive intro, tried to submit it, it said noway, the above was all that was left, so that's what you get. Sorry.
Cheers
Andy

welcome to the site!

like leroy said, get a pulley remover. with the pulley removed, I think you leave the bracket on the block and just change the pump then. sorry I am not much help, I only pulled one, and that was to leave it in the truck, due to pulling the engine.
