Ladies and Gents,
Thank you for all your help thus far, my suburban is slowly becoming the ultimate driving machine. The Fluidampner/pulley install went smoothly. Next up is the new oil cooler and lines kit from Leroy. I think i got it covered, basically I need to remove the oil filter adapter so I can get my booger pickers in there. Replace the o rings ( does anyone know of a somewhere that sells the o ring kit.....besides leroy? ) put new fittings in. The old hoses come out by pulling a retainer clip yes? How about putting a little gasket maker on the new threads, is this standard practice? Thank you in advance!

I used dope on all of mine. Make sure it's oil and fuel resistant. I prefer non-hardening.

I heard tape was not recommended for a lot of applications.

I had to use a variety of wrenches to turn the elbows into the block.

IIRC, Leroy's kit should have come with the 4x4 adaptor O rings and copper crush washer. Lubrication Specialists don't list a 6.2 / 6.5 kit anymore when I checked for a cooler only as that's the set up I had. Thinking I'd re-use my lines I sourced the upper/smaller O ring at NAPA. The larger ring that sits in the adapter itself and the crush washer was a no bueno.

When I had the 93 GMC K1500, 350 engine, I was able to get the oil filter adapter sealing components from NAPA.
Only two parts stores in town that I’ll use out of the three.
NAPA and Oriellys.
Thats why it seems I mention one of these exclusively.
The Carquest store went way high on prices after the corp dropped them.

All I can tell you is be ready to bust some knuckles getting those fittings in. Being a contortionist will help.. the good people at GM didn't make these trucks very mechanic friendly as far as space goes..
And I had to screw the hoses onto the cooler before running them under the truck cuz they were extremely stiff and couldn't get them bet in right direction otherwise. Theve been leaking for about a year or so from a pin hole..but I'm not in any mood to fight that battle again any time soon. Besides it keeps the frame oiled so no rust 😂
