Just a farm kid...
Are you going to stay with stock compression?
It says stock pistons in OP. Crash sounds fairly preformance oriented so this may change.

Lower compression means higher boost can be used safely. Down side is the lower you get the harder it starts. Longer glow cycles can be programmed or a controler can be had.
22:1 or 21:1 is normally stock. There has been some recent showing of these engines with high boost and doing quite well. Bill Heath's land speed truck is 22:1 with twin turbos (don't know type) @ 30 psi I think. ATT on a stock truck pushes close to 20 with ease.
I know everyone has their ideas and stuff over what is best and there will most likely be other opinions shared.
I think going below 20:1 is worth it if the engine is already apart but I wouldn't go out of my way just to change it if all is well.
hank1948 I read a thread earlier where you had machine the head precups out bigger. I didn't see too many other replies about this after the fact and was wondering what ever happened with this? Any power or mileage gains? Kinda curious...
Thanks
I definitely noticed a difference in power, I haven't done any 0-60 performance after results since my ATT turbo is only puttin out 10psi (havent had time to find the exhaust leak) but when I do I will be able to post results. I have already got the pre 0-60 results, pulling a 32ft 7500 lbs travel trailer.
If you want yours done (precups) I can do them for ya. I ve done a set already for a member
What would this cost a guy? Does it matter what pre cups you start with?
If you feel more comfortable PM pricing info.
