New diesel TDI added to the stable today

The wife really loves her Jetta TDI 6 speed. Yes a woman that prefers a manual. I think I will keep her :hihi:
Previously we have had a 1998 and 2001 1.9l TDI Beetles. Then none for several years and then the wife wanted another VW diesel. We might have bought a Chevy Cruze if it had been available but decided not to wait when we found the Jetta deal.
Other than a hassle getting VW to replace a failed turbo on the 98 (they all had issues that VW did not want to admit) they have been reliable.

If you really thrash on the Jetta hard around town you can get the mileage down to 40. Driven sanely on the road its about 50 mpg.
