I have a question for those of you that are familiar with the DB2 IP's. I popped the top off my DB2 today to turn up the fuel. Its a 5088 off a 96 6.5 N/A thats going in my 93 K2500 Turbo 6.5, so I turned it up about 3/8 of a turn. Ater removing the pump lid, and the linkage so I could get to the allen screw for turning up the pump, there was a small 3/4in. long spring sitting in the hole on top of the allen screw.:???: This didn't seem right to me as I believe it would catch on the allen head screw when rotating. I'm wondering if maybe it fell in that hole when I was taking it apart? Here are a couple pics of the spring. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Matt

Yes it did indeed fall out of the throttle rack assembly. Its been a while so I need to get in front of my PC to access pics. Will check back asap.

It goes in the hole in the governor spring holder . The same hole that the pin / guide fits in. It is there for the last stage in governing ,3600-4000 rpm , depending where you set the guide nut.
