Need new fuel line from the manager to the drain petcock

Just an fyi. I have access to a high quality hose now. Need to check still what all sizes I can get, but for sure 3/8". Its made by Parker and has a nitrile liner. Just supplied some to Bill with his last order, maybe he can speak to the quality of it?

Its a very good price @ $2.50/ft.

The AutoZone hose I refered to above is not available from them anymore and when it was it was $3.99/ft

Is this hose rated 30R9?

Sounds like a fair price If your selling in foot increments.

The lowest cost 30R9 I found was had for $23 for a 25 foot roll from EP Cleveland Inc, 7621 Hub Parkway, Valley View, Ohio 44125.

Thanks Greg.

I missed that thread.

Curious about using the Racor filter as a replacement for the factory FFM. I have the Racor mounted on the frame ahead of the lift pump. While I'm sure that would give sufficient filtering alone, isnt the factory FFM still required for the fuel heater element? Could one just eliminate it altogether, or is MGW and jhornsby running the heater element on the Racor?

New info that might help pinpoint the leak.

We have a ramp goni to the house that we usually park on. My daughter has been driving the Tahoe the last week and she has flat parking in front of the house. Parked flat there has been no start and die issue last week. I'm going to swap vehicles back today.

I would be hesitant to use a filter manager without a heater anywhere out of the engine compartment, if at all. Unheated filter assemblies will plug faster when it's extremely cold

Good point. I've been running it unheated on the frame for over two years now, but the coldest it gets here(SW FL) in the winter is about 30-35* for a few hours at night in January. Likely why I havent had any problems. I do like to keep the vehicle ready for all seasons however. So I'll likely add a heater to the Racor at some time in the future.

I'll stick with my original plan of doing the FTB mod with a raised FFM.

Can not find a rating. Here is a link to it http://www.safehose.com/ParkerProducts.asp?catID=35
I can sell by the foot, but shipping could play a roll and I would suggest getting atleast 10ft at a time.

Could be a option to stock FFM and/or FTB mod. Has mounting for more of a universal mount. 1/4" pipe inlet/outlet

I am halfway thru installing all the filters and Walbro I got from Leroy. Time will tell how well the hose does, one thing I noticed is that it reacts to heat well. I left it wadded up in the box in the cab of the truck and it was 105* and who knows how hot in the cab. When I took it out and unrolled it there were no kinks or twists to have to work out. I had some viton hose from NAPA in there and I had to pinch and work with it to get it round again. Leroy I shoulda got the hose barb fittings and hose clamps and hose and bolts from you for the Wix FFM, would have had better stuff at a cheaper price! I spent $28 dollars getting it all rounded up and I really dont like those skinny hose clamps NAPA sells! I am having a tough time fabbing a mount for my new under hood FFM, there is a lack of room and hard to get the height worked out but finished the bracket this afternoon. I threatened to mount it to the side of the intake breather!!!! Two self tapping tech screws and it would of been mounted and right above the exhaust to catch all that wonderful heat!!!! That my friends is why u probably aint never gonna make me into a mechanic!!! LOL If u dont need a water separator can u mount a fuel filter laying down??? It would have been real easy to do that to. I have cut and hacked up fuel lines all over this truck.....I am afeared its never gonna run again....two filters, two filter bleed valves, one mechanical pressure gauge under hood, one LP, change the factory filter! Thats a lot of air in my lines and a bunch of possible air leaks!!!! I am doomed!!!

I've not had a problem with it yet. The engine heat under the hood should keep it from having any ill effects. Plus it's up high. There is an add on heating unit I can get for it and add if and when I need it. It screws into the bottom and is run off of a switch in the cab. It gets cold here but not that cold. Plus the winter blend fuel helps with that and that alone.:D I have it as a primary filter due to the factory FFM having the swiss cheese leaking thing going on.

GM probably doesn't make them anymore but last I priced them it was like 400$ for the fuel lines on the chassis. I changed all mine over to Pushlok. I use Pushlok for Feed the beast now too. When Tim posted FTB over at DP originally I was like the 2nd or 3rd person to do it but IT WAS MY IDEA to use the jic fittings and the 150 deg sweep rather than looping the line .Of course that setup is now sold in a kit. Your welcome. I don't use that setup anymore though. I was able to make all the lines out of Pushlok including the 150 sweep. You can buy all the fittings you need to do this from Summit racing cheap and fast shipping. I posted the part #s at DP. Pushlok is barrier hose and will work with bio wvo etc and the stuff works really good.
