Have the free version and made my own cable using an arduino ft232rl. It connects to truck but doesn't display dashboard data. Any help is appreciated.

I'm getting there!
I assume the the PC is recognizing it as "com port 1 or 2" in windows, and you have the settings in GMTD set for that port? also check for the correct drivers. you should be able to download them from the FIDI website
