Firstly, NEVER use starting fluid on a DURAMAX unless you disable the glow plugs. It's a REAL quick way to lift a head or break a glow plug off and destroy an engine. NExt thing is you need to get a scanner on it and check it for codes. After that you need to see what the rail pressure is while cranking. Also fill out your signature so we know what mods you have done to your truck.

Welcome to the Forum! :welcome3:

Have you done any work to this motor prior to having any issues? Good advice given by Fermanator above. Check for any codes first before you do anything else. How many miles do you have on the motor? The LB7's were notorious for having injector issues.

I called dale from dmaxwrenchkit.com helped me out immensely that's where I got my fuel filter housing the Bosch computer with the gray and black plug had corrosion little dielectric grease and it started dale was very helpful thanks guys for helping me out and I just used a lil psh of either nothing seriouse to hurt anything it just helps turn the injection pump faster than the motor can from what I have heard could be wrong I'm not that expirenced and I love these forums they are a huge help and tho I may not know much I will help those in need with what I know thanks again guys I love the information and if you have problems with fuel filter housings dmaxwrenchkit.com is the place to go

Glad to hear you got it fixed.

Like Fermanator said though, never use Ether. You're going to cause massive damage, whatever you heard is wrong.

Glad to hear that you are running again.

Take the time to fill out your signature. Like all of us have, it will show up under each post. It lets members know what you have.

Even a TINY shot of ether is BAD news, ESPESCIALLY on a LB7 if it's cold enough for the intake heater to be on. It only takes a small puff to blow the entire intake tubing and intercooler apart if the ether hits the glowing intake heater. Or if it hits one of the glowing glow plugs, it can bend a rod and shoot it right out the bottem end. And a small shot of ether is all it takes to do it in.

Duramax777 thanks for reporting back. Good to know the rig is fixed.

Are you in Delaware County Ohio?
