We came up to Maine for a week or so of vacation. Me and my son brought our dirt bikes up to enjoy the Maine woods. Our 1st trip out i fell and broke my leg! A tibia plateau fracture. I have an exrernal imobilizer pinned to my shin and femur and its connected by rods outside my leg. I just have a little mobile service and it won't let me load a pic. I will post one when i get back to CT. Luckily we were not to far in the woods for a rescue. I was lifted into the back of a duramax and driven to meet the medic. He gave me the IV in the pick up. That was the cool part.

When i get home i need an operation to put stuff back in place.

I will still have to drag myself to work becau se i am self employed. I still need to keep my customers happy.

Mods, you can move this to the vacation area if you want

Jeeze Mike! That's a heckuva way to end a fun trip. Sure hope the recovery is quick. I know you said you still had to get work done but try to take it slow and easy. Don't go screwing up the long term health for short term gain...

I wish it was the end of the trip. It was the 3rd day of the trip. We are heading back to CT in the morning. It should be a pleasant ride in the backseat of my truck.

I really want to get this healed up properly. I want to ride in the spring again. I don't want to set myself up for a lifelong injury.
