What are your guys opinions on a running take out long block for $1500 US? There is a video of it http://cgi.ebay.ca/6-5-TURBO-DIESEL...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5198446e3b It seems pricey for the miles.

It would be a days drive one way.

Too bad he Pulled it out already, for the $1500 he is asking it seems a little high and especially if he is taking all accessories (IP, INJ, GP's, Intake and Exhaust manifolds, etc.), So IMO he's gonna swap them to another engine or he's gonna sell them to maximize profit......Then again, he's not even offering them for a complete drop in......I'd pass on that deal, seems there is more to this story or maybe I'm just looking at it sideways.

If he's willing to provide compression readings, yank the oil pan and pull the heads for an inspection, BEFORE money changes hands, it's not that bad of a deal.....

My guess is he is trying to get the last buck stripping it like that. He would most likely not do it for nothing.

I've decided to pull my other motor first and see where I'm at.
