my 95 cab chassis truck

If i had my 00 Crew cab I would tell ya but that is more balanced than i would have thought! Ours might be alil more front heavy with our diesels.

I did not mention that I needed a 1" body lift on the cab because the bed would not set low enough for the body lines.

I was surprised at the balance as well. I am also surprised by how well it rides. I was expecting a rough ride but it is nice. I Put KYB Gas-A-Just on the rear. So far while the truck is not loaded they are nice. I have the fronts sitting beside me now. So when I have the alignment done and check out all the steering and ball joints I will put them on or have them put on depending on how I feel at the time.

It did turn out nice looking in the pics. In person is another story the bed is fine but the paint on the cab not so good.

In the way of looks other then fixing the paint work I would like to get a different grill.

The w/t grill isnt bad, just takes some getting used to. My 94 has one.

What do you use the truck for? Any thoughts of an engine swap? How is the 350 X NV4500 4.10's treating you?

I will use it for pulling my trailer mainly to Attica Indiana for the Badlands offroad park. On the trailer will be my Jeep and a ATV. In the bed will be another atv. Many tools extra parts and camping stuffs. When I had my 96 1500 dodge regular cab 4x4 I was almost 15000 LBS but that was when I had my Dodge Raider/ Mitsu Montero on the trailer which was considerably heavier then my jeep. Then in a few more years I will start hauling a 3rd ATV if money allows and I can figure out how to fit it.

No I will not have the money or tools to do a swap and I do not know how but it would be nice if it were diesel. The shifting feels like riding a 1970s school bus when they were manual trans very non plush and not exactly fast.

You have a god platform for a 4 or 6 cylinder cummins. People here can show you the way to do it!

As for the tranny you supposedly have the better shift tower so i doubt it gets much better.

You can do some throttle body and fuel pump mods and get a bit more power out of the 350, that is a good year for those engines.

Maybe repaint the cab front clip and grill color matched or i think they have chrome w/t grills at LMC.

IIRC yes you do. Been awhile since I had it done but i had a buddy do it for a case of beer when my original kicked the bucket on my old 95 1500 4x4 305, made a good difference
