Modifying a DS4

If you plan to use the DS4 head assembly,that DB2 high lift in the camring(bottom pic) might cause a lot of strain on the plungers,rollers and shoes if their travel is not restricted.
In the DB2 pumps the plunger/roller/shoe travel is usually restricted by a limiter guide and never hit the valley bottom in the camring.
 
That ring on the inlet valve did that get machined off with a lathe? Or can it be done not so precise I guess you could say? Lol
 
The key to modding injector pump parts is precision. If things aren't done right, they can cause uneven injection events, and also premature wear in strategic areas.
In the case of a delivery valve, if you don't have each one machined identical, it will cause uneven fueling.
