Well... test start...they do use one but back then it was just water. And if you were in a freeze area they added alcohol, higher proof the better.

What have we done and where are we going? A good friend and I discuss this every once in a while. My oldest brother would buy 50's cars and drive them tell they quit, usually paid $25 for them. 1957 Chevy. couple 55-56 Buicks 57 Station wagon. The poor Bastard didn't know what he had, But hey. We have Covid, maybe we will long for the good old days FK.ME.
