ISO Detroit Diesel 638 EGR Valve

Hello all, I am in search of an Exhaust/Gas Release valve for my Detroit Diesel 638 Engine.

Is the EGR valve suppose to fit over the square bolt pattern with the round hole in the intake manifold ? If so, I thinking I`d just plug that hole and plug the hole on the exhaust port, wherever that is.

Yes, the 4 bolt pattern you see on the intke manifold is where the EGR goes.
I dont think i can plug it, thats where air goes into the engine lol.
I was thinking i may have to just connect it right to the intercooler.

***UPDATE*** LOOKING FOR *AGR* VALVE "AIR/GAS RECIRCULATOR" NOT EGR

If the valve acts as a pressure release valve then those can be bought and adjusted to the pressures that's desired. Sort of a universal units.
