Is this a good price on a used Massey?

I am looking at a 1996 Massey Ferguson 1220, 20hp, 4wd tractor for use around my house. It is in great shape and only has about 500 hours on it. It comes with a hydraulic angle front blade, 60" belly mower, 4' brush hog, 4' tiller, tire chains. They are asking $8000 for everything.

I'd think that was within reason. Maybe offer $500 less and see if they bite.

Well I skipped out on the Massey because I figured I would out grow it pretty quick with such a small frame and low horsepower. After looking at about 5-6 other models I decided to go with a Kubota L3400. This is my first tractor and I should have it in the next couple of days. Right now I'm waiting on them to install the loader and backhoe before they deliver it.

You probably made a good choice there if you thought you would outgrow it.
Kinda like buying cheap tools... Never a good idea:nono:
