IP Testing?

When I bought my pickup it came with two IPs the previous owner thought they were the problem but lucky me the engina was shot!! So I have two IPs that are probably ok but I would like to get them tested before selling them or giving them away. Does Heaths test them or does anybody have any suggestions?

Most shops charge over $100 to test a ip. What are the chances they will say it's good when they make a killing on rebuilding them?
