During last 10 month I have "updated" my Sub with Marine injectors, EM chip, K&N air, 3" downpipe, took off cat & orig. muffler, BoostFooler (resistor), optical sensor adjustment... and finally it was time to cool IAT's.
Sub's been with me 14 months/26k miles.

A friend had a ATA cooler what he planned for his Suburban. Now he plans WTA, so this ATA cooler was free to use...
It was pretty perfect shape for what I thought it should be like.

First was mounting under bumper

I started from the bottom

Just enough turns (90/60/45 deg. silicon & iron pipes)
There is enough room to get pipes up even I have vacuum pump...

Sorry... I don't know how to have more pics in one message...

No need for moving/cutting/pushing anything downside.

It was time to turn Turbo down, here I needed short 90deg. silicon. All other turns are wider/longer than this shorty.

Carefully with AC lines, no pushing allowed :smash:

All fitted, here's also nice curve over AC lines.
Only cut was 1/2" part from front side of intake pipe. Better air flow to intake from 45deg tube...

Hmmm... I had to do some make up :yesnod:

I turned original bottom plate upside down and cut off a bit. I will also bolt on it to bumper and get some net in front of it.

Results:
I did check IAT's before and after (with GMTDScan Tech).
When driving ~65mph on hiway (outside 60F), it was ~130F and WOT it jumped over 180F.

With the cooler, at 65mph it shows 85 to 90F... and with WOT it slowly rise to 110-120F.
So, there's a BIG improvement... (outside temp about the same). It pulls so strong that I'm very very happy with it!!

Cooler is from Cosworth 4x4 (Ford), size about 7" x 7" x 20" (2 1/2" pipes).
EGT's are 400-500F, never exceeded 600F (post turbo).

It needs Dyno run...

BR. kane
