Intake Mod, other project or two and finally, the ATT.

I dunno, guys ... I'm sorta nostalgic for the 'wooden' spacer. :hihi:

j/k .. very nice... shiny, too!

Question is that spacer...
Testing to follow later
OEM intake set up, no extrude honed parts used. Temperature, 15*F. I made four 0-60mph runs and averaged 12.5 seconds (filmed). No boosted launches, just dead stop, release brake and stomp it.
I'll use the Peninsular w/o spacer next and then with to see what shakes out. Morbid curiousity is all.

Swapped in the Peninsular set up with the Spacer.
Nothing but love Mike, but that spacer is boring as hell in 'Natural.':( I'll ask Gary to cut me a new one and its going right back to Purple:thumbsup:

Maybe it would look better if the upper was still black but that ship is long gone.

Temp: 14* F
I made four 0-60mph runs and still averaged about 12 seconds each. So, apparently, there's no real difference and no cause for concern. That's a big relief. Obviously, temperatures make a difference. The bigger the difference in temperature changes, the bigger the difference in performance changes.
I knew this but, 3 seconds off summer time 0-60 times is huge to my way of thinking. Kinda makes up for the winter blended fuel.
At least I'll have a summer and winter basis for comparison depending on when the motor gets finished and delivered....

I'll be plugging the holes in 635's upper and lower intake when the new motor goes in.

Yes, but its just jittery hand held iPhone footage of the instrument cluster, aided by my banter, un aided by editing as the speedometer climbs ever so slowly towards 60. Almost as boring as the spacer's color.:hihi:

Your economy tune must be on the conservative side. 12 seems alittle on the slow side for this time of the yr. Could be an effect of heavier tires too i guess.

Compared to 14-15, 12 is pretty nice.
Yes, it is not a performance tune but the economy tune I was running earlier last year was too tame, even for Bill so he bumped it a bit when the truck was stabled there for a while.
You're probably correct about the tires. Those big tires with the 3:73 rear doesn't help much. At least the speedometer is correct....
