Installed my Tekonsha P3 break controller today on my 2500HD LBZ.
Bought the plug-n-play wiring harness for easy install.
Everything went great was finished in about 5 minutes.

I checked the fuse box under the hood and seen that a 30amp fuse was already in STUD #2.
First question is should I upgrade this to a 40amp fuse?
Most of what I will be towing will be 2 axle electric break.

I was also reading about some wire that in most cases is not not connected for suppling power to the trailer.
I have not been able to find this wire so until I can get a voltmeter I will assume (I know) that it too is already hooked up.

Last question is there anything else I should/need to be looking at?
Thnx in advance for the replies.

I left the stock fuse in my fuse box, and I have not had a problem. I have an original prodigy, that also came with the 40 amp fuse, but left the 30 amp fuse in there! You should be OK!

No wires to hook up on your 06, only on the newerstyle trucks, just make sure there is a fuse there and you will have power at the rear.
