Today, I ran into a friend of mine's dad who is a parts manger at a local Chevrolet dealership. We got to talking about my truck and he ask me if I had to change the injectors yet, then kind of played dumb when I question him about that.

I read alot about Duramax's and I havn't read or heard about the LBZ's having any injector problems.:noidea: Has anyone else heard of this?

Nope. You should be ok.

Injector problems have mainly been on the LB7's.

The injectors themselves are LB7 issues,

Injector wiring harness is LLYs and LBZs are good to go minus the cracked pistons.

I had one injector go bad at 27K. It was making a loud ticking or knocking sound between 1000-1200 RPM's. Used my Quadzilla to check the ijector balaces and #3 was way off from the rest. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

I guess I should say that injectors will fail, as they fail on every single diesel engine out there.

Its just one of those things.

However the common failure is the LB7s.
