Injector options for a stock engine

My friend has a stockish 92 3/4 4x4 extended cab, standard-has a K@N filter in a stock box, 3.5" Flowmaster DP back and wants a big more snap without really touching the injection pump. He was told about 30 hp injectors, basically modded stockers with more holes for better atomization. If this is true, best place to get them? or other options?

Well, just the injectors themselves on a stock pump aren't gonna do a whole heck of a lot.

The plungers are only pushing so much fuel, so the bigger sticks won't net a big gain.

On a 12V, some minor pump tweaks will get you a lot better results for a lot cheaper than 30HP sticks will.

Ok, he was told they have more holes to better fuel spray-atomization which would equal more power and better mpg.

What do you recommend for the pump mods? Thanks.

They will net a small gain in HP and mileage, but nothing that you won't be able to get by simply messing with the pump a bit.

Slide the plate forward and turn the star wheel a bit and he'll gain more HP than those 30 HP injectors for a lot less money.

For little upgrades, it's cheaper to mess with the pump a little bit.

The '92 has the bosch VE rotary pump and can be tweaked with ease. Check this out

Does it have a CAC already or just an aftercooler?

92 is a ve pump. It doesn't have a plate in it! It has a fuel pin ... an it may possible have really tiny injectors! I would turn the fuel screw in an see if it gains you anything. If it doesn't you will have to get bigger injectors!
