I'm using a griddle inserted sideways in the drum. I put it on slow stir and monitored the temp. it took about three hours to go from 40 degrees to 140. From there I pumped it into the mix tank that has a drum heater, poured in the meth/KOH and mixed for two hours, I drew a sample and it started separating right away so I'm on the right track I'm sure. I got a lid on it but It seems to be raining methanol inside my tank. The lid is just a upside-down garbage can lid with about ten pounds of weight holding it down. I never noticed it in the summer time, does anybody think that it'll change my batch much. at present I have thermostat on the drum heater set to 125 Degrees.

I was getting twitchy, all that oil and chemicals sitting around and down to my last fifty gallons
