Everytime i hit the gas hard from a redlight it makes alot of metal popping noise, doesnt slow down it just gets really loud popping. I thought it was the exhaust rattling but it also has slack between reverse and forward..
This is with 60k miles on it. :mad2:
Ideas?
 
My friend says it might be the u joint. because it wines instead of pops when i floor it on stock tune...
 
I'd be checking the universals too. I've had them just about falling apart and not a sound. the thump when switching between forward and reverse was more than slightly noticeable.:eek: any odd vibrations? noises?
 
I was getting a vibration and a slight noise coming from the rear end a little while ago and it eneded up be the rear u-joints. just my .02
