...I never get rid of my old steel and will have to drive it forever to recoup whats in it, then I'll have to be buried in it and maybe I'll break even.

Haha depends on what u got. I paid $3500 for mine a year ago with ~258k interior in perfect shape, only a few minor scratches and the lower left corner of the tailgate is rusting out. Thats all the rust ive found so far. I would have payed more for a modified one in a good body and frame, but it is reassuring that my engine didn't have hardly anything done to it when I got it, which means it probably wasn't used the way I use it (thank god) and I found a complete maintenance record from day 1. Even have the first owners name and town/state it was purchase in. Written in the blanks on the inside cover of the warranty manual. Thought about finding my wife a 6.5 burb and turning my gas guzzling inboard boat to a 6.5. Just have a 6.5 family fleet lol

I was wanting to do a 6.5 boat but with fuel prices Id like to put a small tractor diesel in a boat now, would be good for trolling out in the lake.

I was probably thinking about getting those decals in the lmc book 4 or 5 years ago until the oil cooler line let go and Then I ended up doing the Teds motor thing and hoarding new parts until I could do the swap right. Bigdaddy, I have the same paint scheme as your truck although I blacked out the chrome grille recently.

After Igot my truck I was flipping through LMC looking for 6.5 stuff and I could have swore those decals were in there.

According to some random vin decoder, in 1995, out of ~21,000 k1500 trucks, only ~5500 k1500 ecsb's came with the 6.5, only ~1100 had the red & black 2 tone. Made me feel "unique" lol. I thought somebody had painted mine that way until my vin told me otherwise. As far as color scheming goes, I've played around with the idea of painting both my bumpers black, painting the grille shell red, black "thick" billet grille, black (not blacked out) headlights and taillights, red tailgate and door handles, red rain guards, blacked out windows and some meaty mud tires with some 18-20" chrome wheels with black accents. Pretty much my whole plan really lol
