I got my first truck back…

I tried one of those after market variable valve elimination kits that many sites sells.
Dont waste Your time nor money, they dont fit. They are smaller fittings than what Our systems require.
I think they are made for gassers with vacuum boost and not for the hydro boost systems what must have larger fittings.
I finally just disconnected the wires on mine.
Seems to work better than it did when they were connected.

Well still haven't done anything with the steering. Just driving it. Box still feels good but the pump definitely doesn't provide enough pressure at slow speeds. I ordered a PSC pump so when I get a chance I'll swap that in. Truck has stock vacuum booster.

Recently took it on a trip to the family cabin (a trip this truck has taken many many times in its life). Truck still knows the route well. Made it up there and back with 3 adults, 2 dogs and a bunch of junk in the back under a tonneau cover. Avgd 15.8mpg up and back. Recently got some new Michelin Defender LTX M/S2's installed on a sat of 2016 silverado wheels. Love the tires but the wheel style is not doing for me unfortunately. but it rides/drives so quiet compared to the old/hard KO2's that were on it.

Good thing the dogs get along haha.

Good thing the truck still knows the route -- hit plenty of fog on the way up and lots of rain/water on the highway on our way back but we were kept safe...

Not expecting much to get done over the holidays.
